Elizabeth and Amy both spent many years in elementary classrooms supporting students with special needs before turning their love for educating and nurturing to doula work. They pride themselves on their ability to empathize with families yet remain focused on the goal while problem-solving and teaching solutions. They consider each family's unique parenting style and needs while helping them to implement a plan. Elizabeth and Amy are passionate about mental health, self-care, and the importance of sleep and are excited to support families through their parenting journeys.

Elizabeth is a wife and a mother of two daughters, two dogs and two cats. She is continually learning in order to support other families. She must start each day with two cups of coffee, and in her "spare time" loves to read and garden. Elizabeth works hard so that she always has a next adventure planned.

Amy is a wife, mother of one, and step-mom of one. She has one small dog that loves to sit on her lap. Amy's day starts and ends with a cup of tea. Amy loves crafting and wishes she had more time for creating. She is a "homebody" who loves to spend time doing activities, such as paddle boarding or a bike ride with her family.

After welcoming my first baby with the love and support of Doula Duo Inc., I have happily joined the team to extend the hands and spread the warmth in our community of growing families. Whether you are trying to conceive, planning for your birth, preparing for postnatal or just going through the stages, I am happy you got here and look forward to sharing the knowledge I have and the memories we get to make together.

I have had the privilege of building my career as Registered Nurse in KW over the last 15 years. I have experience working in both the Emergency Department (ED), and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Grand River Hospital. Recently my family and I relocated to our hometown of Barrie Ontario.
My personal difficulties with breastfeeding fueled my interest in understanding lactation and led me to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
My work as both an RN, and IBCLC within the NICU/postpartum area has allowed me to gain experience assisting mothers with breastfeeding their babies, whether they be preterm, late preterm, singletons or multiples.
It is truly an honour to be welcomed by families during this special and sometimes difficult times in their lives.
I look forward to meeting you and your family and helping YOU reach YOUR individual feeding goals!
